If You Can’t Stand the Heat, Get Out of the Kitchen: Fire Prevention Month

So far this year, 104 North Carolinians lost their lives in a fire.  As the weather gets cooler and people start cooking more, typically, more fires erupt across the state.  That's the reason that every October, "Fire Prevention Month" is observed across the nation -- with this year's focus on cooking safety.
